What is BDS?
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is a 5-year undergraduate degree program regulated by the Dental Council of India (DCI). It is the only professional dental course in India that allows graduates to practice as dentists.
The program provides comprehensive training in dental sciences and surgery, including a 1-year compulsory internship that gives students hands-on experience in real clinical settings.
To pursue BDS in India, students must qualify for the NEET-UG 2025 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
